Oman’s hospitality sector is experiencing remarkable growth, recording an 18 percent rise in hotel revenues during the first six months of 2025. The country welcomed about 1.14 million tourists in this period, a clear indication of its growing appeal as a global travel destination.

Industry observers attribute this performance to Oman’s continued investment in tourism infrastructure, its promotion of cultural heritage, and efforts to diversify attractions beyond the traditional Gulf offerings. With rising interest from both regional and international travelers, the sector is positioning itself as a key pillar of Oman’s economic diversification strategy, reinforcing tourism as one of the engines driving future growth.
