Aloe Hotels opens first international hotel in Mauritania

The Gran Canaria-based Aloe Hotels chain has made its first move into the international market with the opening of the Aloe Emira NKC in Nouakchott, Mauritania. 

The new establishment underscores the group’s commitment to innovation and expansion in the hospitality sector, offering a space designed to meet the needs of professionals, business travelers, and industry workers.

Strategically located in the Mauritanian capital, the hotel features 32 modern rooms, high-tech meeting spaces, a cafeteria, a restaurant, and even an ice cream parlor, all accessible to both guests and the public. Aloe Emira NKC aims to serve a diverse clientele, including corporate teams, ship and aircraft crews, doctors, tourism workers, and local suppliers. Its facilities combine comfort with functionality, positioning the hotel as a corporate hub where international and local businesses can connect.

According to Aloe Hotels director María Rivera, the project is not just about hospitality but also about training the next generation of professionals. “We want Aloe Emira NKC to be a training hotel, offering training in hotel management and tourism services,” she explained. Plans for a second phase include the addition of a rooftop with panoramic city views and dedicated training rooms, reinforcing the hotel’s role as a center for professional development and networking in Nouakchott.

This new property joins Aloe Hotels’ flagship establishment near Las Canteras in Gran Canaria. Together, they reflect the chain’s broader vision: to export Canarian hospitality, generate employment and training opportunities, and establish its brand as a benchmark for professionalization and innovation in new international markets.
