The third edition of the Ghana Chieftaincy Awards (GCA) and the Royal Investment Summit 2025 is set to be officially launched on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

Organised by the Obokese Foundation in partnership with The Black Star Experience, the National House of Chiefs, and Ram Media Concepts Ghana, the event aims to redefine traditional leadership in Ghana by promoting sustainable development, environmental advocacy, and inclusive investment.

Held under the theme, “A United Front for Promotion of Environmental Awareness, Royal Investment, and Land Tenure System,” the GCA 2025 launch will highlight the evolving role of chiefs and queen mothers beyond cultural custodianship, positioning them as leaders in national economic transformation.

At a partnership announcement with The Black Star Experience, Nana Obokese I, founder of the Obokese Foundation, emphasized the initiative's focus on culture preservation and social impact.

“Our goal is to preserve our heritage while creating lasting social impact. With strong national support, this event will become a powerful space for leadership and unity,” he noted.

According to organisers, this year’s edition will serve as a call to action, inviting traditional leaders to take on active roles in sustainability, community-based investment, and reform of Ghana’s land tenure systems.

A key feature of the Ghana Chieftaincy Awards 2025 is the Royal Investment Summit, which will run under the theme, “Bridging Tradition and Global Capital: Unlocking Regional Investment Opportunities in Ghana.”

The summit seeks to build strong connections between Ghana’s 16 regions and international investors by spotlighting investment-ready sectors such as tourism, infrastructure, and financial technology.

According to Presidential Staffer for The Black Star Experience, Rex Omar, the summit represents a valuable platform to amplify Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and investment potential.

“Summit is a powerful platform to showcase the richness of Ghanaian culture to the world,” he stated.

This year’s launch in Accra will set the stage for the main Ghana Chieftaincy Awards and Royal Investment Summit, which will be held in Kumasi from October 3 to 4, 2025. Organisers expect the main event to bring together traditional rulers, policymakers, and investors for high-level dialogue and collaborative action aimed at national development through chieftaincy.

The National Theatre of Ghana has entered into a strategic partnership with the Accra City Hotel to foster closer ties between the arts and hospitality sectors through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The collaboration is aimed at promoting Ghanaian culture both locally and internationally by introducing weekly arts and cultural performances for guests at the hotel. The initiative is expected to draw increased attention to Ghana's creative industry while enhancing the cultural appeal of the hospitality experience.

As part of the arrangement, the National Theatre’s three resident companies—the National Drama Company, the National Dance Company, and the National Symphony Orchestra—will deliver vibrant performances representing the cultural richness and diversity of Ghana’s regions.

The signing ceremony, attended by leaders of both institutions, highlighted a shared vision to elevate the creative and tourism sectors through innovative partnerships. The move is expected to drive patronage, stimulate cultural tourism, and create more opportunities for Ghanaian performers to engage new audiences.

Raffles Jaipur in India has announced a cultural partnership with the Jaipur Centre for Art (JCA) as part of efforts to blend luxury hospitality with immersive artistic experiences.

Through this collaboration, guests at the hotel will enjoy exclusive access to curated exhibitions, interactive workshops with local artists, and culturally rich programs that celebrate Rajasthan’s vibrant art traditions. The initiative aims to position Raffles Jaipur not just as a destination for leisure, but as a living gallery that champions creativity and contemporary innovation.

This mirrors similar efforts in other parts of the world, including Ghana’s own push to merge the arts and hospitality sectors, as seen in the recent partnership between the National Theatre and Accra City Hotel.
