Kigali Ranked Eastern Africa’s Top City for Global Hospitality Industry

Kigali has been rated the most attractive city in Eastern Africa for the global hospitality industry.
The recognition came from hospitality industry executives at the Fourth Annual Africa Hotel Expansion Summit and Hospitality Round Table, held on September 8–9 at the Julius Nyerere Convention Centre in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

According to ETurboNews, Rwanda continues to stand out as one of Africa’s most promising countries for tourism and hospitality growth, drawing the attention of top-level international investors, hotel industry experts, and global travel leaders.

Kigali’s rise as a hub for hospitality is supported by its record of hosting high-profile international conferences, welcoming more than a million visitors annually. This year alone, the city has already hosted the World Economic Forum on Africa, the African Union Summit, and the Global African Investment Forum.

In October, Kigali will host the Africa Hotel Investment Forum alongside AviaDev Africa, further cementing its position as a key player in global hospitality. The momentum continues in November with the 41st Congress of the Africa Travel Association (ATA), expected to attract delegates worldwide and highlight East Africa as a single tourist destination.
