The 2025 edition of Ghana Menswear Week (GHMW) will take place from August 30–31 at the World Trade Centre, Accra, celebrating Ghanaian and African men’s fashion. The event will feature around 20 designers and models from Ghana and abroad, showcasing their latest collections while fostering networking and collaboration within the industry.
Launched in 2016 by House of Fame, GHMW provides a platform for designers, brands, buyers, bloggers, and consumers to connect. Founder Nana Mensah expressed excitement over a partnership with Infinix Mobile, highlighting the blend of innovation, tech, and fashion. The event is also supported by Woodin Ghana, GHOne TV, Starr 103.5 FM, Graphic Showbiz, 3Music TV, Envision Africa, and Nueva Comms.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the parent company of brands like Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza, reported a slowdown in its global revenue per available room (RevPAR) for Q2 2025. The U.S. market, IHG's largest, experienced a 0.9% decline in RevPAR, a significant drop from the 3.5% growth in Q1.
Factors contributing to this downturn include economic uncertainties, trade tariffs, and rising geopolitical tensions, leading to reduced consumer confidence and discretionary spending. Despite these challenges, IHG remains optimistic about meeting its annual earnings targets, with other hotel chains showing mixed signals.
