On the International Front
China’s Ministry of Transport anticipates approximately 270 million trips per day during the upcoming May Day holiday.
The majority of these trips are expected to be made via private vehicles, comprising over 80% of the total mobility.
Additionally, the nation’s highways are projected to handle around 63.5 million vehicles daily, nearly double the usual volume.
Both the railway and civil aviation sectors are expected to experience increased passenger traffic compared to the same period in 2019.
Furthermore, toll highways in China will continue to waive tolls for passenger vehicles with a seating capacity of up to 7 people throughout the holiday period.
