Gospel trio, Daughters of Glorious Jesus have canceled the Kwahu edition of their Glorious Praise event due to the death of a patron, Kwabena Kwakye.

The late director of radio on Oman Fm was a cousin to two members of the group.

Cynthia Appiadu, the lead singer, announced the cancellation on TV, stating that Mr. Kwakye’s passing was a significant loss for the group.

Despite this, they will proceed with their Accra and Kumasi editions of Glorious Praise in April

In 2024, Eid al-Fitr in Saudi Arabia will be celebrated with a near week-long holiday in April.

Both public and private sector companies will observe a four-day holiday starting from Monday, April 8, with the holiday beginning at the end of the workday on April 7.

This allows Saudi residents to enjoy six consecutive days off, taking into account the official weekend days of Friday and Saturday.

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, which began on March 11.

The announcement was made by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, ensuring most employees can enjoy the extended holiday period.

This period of celebration allows Saudi residents to spend quality time with family and engage in traditional festivities.
