Notably, this year marks the first-ever participation of young talent from Africa, with Apprentice Chef Ines Martha Nana Asabea Appenteng joining the ranks.

The Fiesta Hospitality Group, celebrating its 21st anniversary, emphasizes the importance of teamwork and skill development in their training programs.

Chef Malan and Chef Ines, proudly representing Ghana, will showcase the rich culinary heritage of the country to the world, contributing to Ghana’s growing presence and influence in the culinary arts globally.

The Macallan, a globally renowned luxury whisky brand, has kicked off its 200th-anniversary celebrations in Africa with a special visit to Ghana by key leaders.

The team expressed gratitude for beginning the celebrations in a nation known for its rich cultural heritage.

An exclusive reception at the Polo Club in Accra featured notable personalities and whisky enthusiasts.

The event introduced The Macallan’s 200 years young campaign, emphasizing a commitment to craftsmanship and promising ongoing surprises for customers beyond the year-long celebration.

Attendees in Ghana welcomed the milestone, expressing enthusiasm for The Macallan’s 200th anniversary and anticipating unique offerings in the future.

YFM, in collaboration with Legon City Mall, is hosting the YFM Paint & Sip event on February 12, 2024.

Beyond painting, activities include Beverage Tasting, Karaoke battles, and showcases by muralists.

The African Hospitality Confidence Index 2024, released ahead of the Hotel & Hospitality Expo Africa in June, reveals positive trends in the continent’s hospitality sector.

With 80% of operators and suppliers expressing confidence, the industry is rebounding from the pandemic.

Key trends include a surge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption, with 92% acknowledging the significance of ‘bleisure’ tourism.

The report emphasizes a shift toward work-life balance and the growing importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) measures.

Despite 89% recognizing ESG’s importance, implementation varies. The 2024 Expo aims to unite the industry amid Africa’s forecasted economic growth.
