Global Media Alliance (GMA) has introduced the Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA) to honour and acknowledge achievements in the beverage industry.
The launch, led by CEO Mr. Ernest Boateng, highlighted the significance of sustainable practices in the industry.
The Ghana Beverage Awards by Global Media Alliance aims to spotlight excellence within the beverage sector, with CEO Mr. Ernest Boateng encouraging a commitment to sustainable practices for both business success and positive environmental impact.
The introduction of the Sustainability Champion of the Year category further underscores the awards’ dedication to recognizing and promoting eco-friendly initiatives within the industry.

The Ghana Jazz Foundation, a non-profit organisation, was recently launched in Accra during the “Jazz in January” festival.

Led by President Dr. Adrian Oddoye, the foundation aims to promote Ghanaian jazz artists and enhance music literacy through mentorship programs and online courses.

The initiative received support from Bessa Simons, President of the Musician’s Union of Ghana, who highlighted the importance of quality venues and fair treatment for musicians.

The foundation’s mission aligns with the goal of improving music knowledge and welfare support for artists, contributing to the growth and global acceptance of Ghanaian talent in the hospitality and music industry.

The 6th Ghana Hotels Association (GHA) Awards, set for January 27, 2024, introduces digital nominations through an online portal for members in good standing, aligning with the association’s digitalization agenda.

Despite lower-than-expected participation, attributed to possible “digitalization phobia,” GHA President Dr. Ackah-Nyamike emphasises the importance of embracing digitalization for industry growth.

The awards encompass various categories, including Departmentalized, General, Specialized, and Regional Branch awards, recognizing excellence and contributions in the hotel industry.

The event aims to acknowledge significant contributors, featuring a lifetime achievement award. Notable sponsors include Ghana Tourism Authority and Multichoice Ghana.
