The EDGE certification, developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), acknowledges buildings for their efficient design in terms of resources and operations.
Ecobank’s achievement is measured by various factors including 34% energy savings, 24% water savings, and 85% less embodied energy in materials.
This certification underscores the bank’s dedication to green building practices and aligns with global efforts to foster environmentally conscious investments.

Land commission urged to adhere to regulations concerning land issues
Nii Ayidzaku Tackie, representing the Nii Odai Family has urged the Land Commission to adhere strictly to established regulations and procedures concerning land matters in the country, emphasizing the need to prevent unauthorized individuals from participating in land administration.
Speaking at a press conference in Kwabenya, Nii Ayidzaku Tackie aimed to rectify misconceptions and inaccuracies circulating in the media and the public domain regarding their land holdings.
He also issued a reminder to all developers operating on the family’s lands to formalise their operations.

A report released in June by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) shows that over 22 million housing units will be required by 2030.
This will help achieve housing affordability for everyone living in Canada. This is 3.5 million additional units to the current national housing plan.
The shortage comes while Canada pursues record levels of immigration levels, causing concern among both Canadians as well as newcomers.
The fear is that a rapid population increase is driving up demand, lowering supply and raising prices to the point where homeownership is out of reach in Canada.
