House prices in London have decreased by 0.6% over the past year. This marks the first downturn observed in any region since the market virtually halted in the spring of 2020 due to the pandemic.

Contrastingly, the broader UK housing market saw an average price increase of 1.7% in the year leading up to June.
This rate is slightly down from the 1.8% growth observed the previous month. In real terms, the average house price across the UK has now reached £288,000.

While this figure is £5,000 more than the previous year’s average, it still falls short of the peak recorded in September by £5,000.
Interestingly, between May and June, house prices recorded a 0.3% rise, offsetting the 0.3% drop witnessed in the month prior, when adjustments for seasonal fluctuations were made.

Regionally, the North East saw the most modest average house price of £161,000. Meanwhile, London, despite its recent decline, continues to boast the highest average house price, standing at a hefty £528,000.

Wolf Bierens from Easy Housing enthusiastically remarked, the partnership with Jobomax fills them with great enthusiasm.

Each house the company constructs captures approximately 10 tons of carbon dioxide, enabling homeowners to lead comfortable lives while contributing to the fight against climate change. L
Leveraging Jobomax’s expertise in community development in West Africa synergizes perfectly with our proficiency in design and construction.

According to him, they are eagerly anticipating the rapid scaling of this venture to produce thousands of homes annually, marking a substantial stride towards a more environmentally conscious and decarbonized building sector in Ghana.”

They anticipate strong interest from Black Americans, as well as recent diaspora, who seek their first homes in Ghana, alongside local residents who can progressively build their dream homes.”

Chinese policymakers are facing calls to do more to prop up the ailing real estate market after the largest property developer, Country Garden, warned of multibillion-dollar losses and missed bond payments.

The world’s 138th largest company, according to business magazine Fortune, said last week that due to a “decline in sales in the real estate industry,” it was on course to lose between $6 billion and $7 billion in the six months from January to June 2023.

Until recently, Country Garden appeared to have been spared from the real estate downturn that took hold in China during the pandemic when the government of President Xi Jinping placed limits on how much debt property developers could take on.
