The Ghana Tourism Forum is set to host its inaugural ‘Tourism Stakeholders Mixer,’ a groundbreaking event aimed at fostering collaboration among tourism professionals to promote Ghana as a top tourist destination. The event will feature key industry figures, including Professor Kwaku Boakye, Vice Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University, as the keynote speaker.
Discussions will focus on addressing critical challenges in Ghana’s tourism sector, such as the shortage of skilled personnel, infrastructure gaps, and limited technology adoption, which impact service quality and the overall visitor experience. Workforce development, retention, and diversity will take center stage, alongside sustainability, innovation, and strategies for post-pandemic recovery.
Under the theme, ‘Building a Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality Industry Together,’ the event seeks to unite public administrators, private sector players, and academia to identify solutions and shape the future of tourism in Ghana. Fuseini Nawaru, CEO of Hausa Tours, is coordinating this initiative.
Professor Kwaku Boakye, a Tourism Consultant and Vice Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University, is set to serve as the keynote speaker at the event, which will bring together public administrators, private sector players, and academia to discuss the future of tourism in Ghana.

Relax Airlines, a new private airline in Ghana, is making significant progress towards its launch this year. Having already obtained an Air Carrier Licence, the airline is now in the fourth phase of acquiring an Air Operators Certificate, which involves demonstration and inspection. This milestone highlights the airline’s commitment to filling a niche in the domestic and short-haul aviation sector, with plans to cater to both regional and international markets.
The airline intends to operate domestic flights connecting Accra to Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi, and Wa, as well as regional routes to destinations such as Lagos, Abuja, Freetown, Abidjan, Conakry, and Dakar. Additionally, it plans to offer charter services between Accra and Hamburg and Accra and London. Samuel Wesley-Kirkman, the Accountable Executive of Relax Airlines, expressed optimism about the airline’s readiness to launch operations later this year.
This development underscores the potential for enhanced connectivity within Ghana and across the West African sub-region, offering travelers more options and convenience in air travel.
