Alhaji Salami Amadu, Chief Executive Officer of Afro-Arab Properties, has shared his company’s remarkable journey and ambitious plans in an exclusive interview with PETV in Accra.

Founded in 2007 when he was just 20 years old, Afro-Arab Properties has grown into a conglomerate with ten subsidiaries, including real estate ventures and a football club.

Reflecting on the challenges faced along the way, he remarked, “We learn things every day.” He acknowledged that obstacles are part of the journey, often arising from government policies, community expectations, and even family pressures.

Despite these hurdles, Afro-Arab Properties has emerged as a leader in affordable luxury housing, earning a nomination for Best Affordable Luxury Developer and Best Township Development at the 2024 Ghana Property Awards.

Alhaji Salami attributed these achievements to the company’s consistent focus and solid foundation. He expressed his vision to construct 200,000 homes by 2050, addressing Ghana’s housing deficit, which currently stands at 1.5 million units. Afro-Arab Properties offers clients flexible payment plans, requiring an initial 40% deposit and allowing the remainder to be paid without interest. “You are not buying a home; you are making an investment,” he said, emphasizing the long-term value his properties provide.

With projects scattered across Accra, Afro-Arab Properties has built a reputation for delivering high-quality homes for middle and low-income earners. While focusing on low-cost housing, the company also develops luxury homes, contributing significantly to Ghana’s socio-economic development.

Alhaji Salami remains optimistic about Afro-Arab’s future, driven by a commitment to serve Ghanaians and the diaspora. He described the Ghana Property Awards nomination as a motivation to achieve even greater heights. “This nomination motivates us to work harder. We remain focused on achieving our dream of building 200,000 houses in the next 25 years,” he concluded.
