The maiden edition of the New England Ghana Festival (NEGfestT) has been  held in Worcester, Massachusetts.
 
The festival was a resounding success, bringing together Ghanaians from across the United States to celebrate their heritage.
 
The event was graced by the presence of Daasebre Nana Kwaku Boateng III, Omanhene of New Juaben, who served as the guest of honor.
 
The festival’s theme, “Sankofa: Embracing Our Heritage, Connecting Our Past,” highlighted the importance of cultural preservation and connection to the past.
 
 
In his keynote address, Daasebre Nana Kwaku Boateng III emphasized the significance of unity, heritage, and shared history that binds Ghanaian communities worldwide.
 
He explained the concept of Sankofa, derived from the Akan language, which symbolizes the importance of returning to the past to retrieve valuable knowledge.
 
Nana Kwaku Boateng III shared his personal journey to becoming Omanhene and urged participants to embrace their heritage as the foundation of their identity.
 
He called upon the Ghanaian diaspora to maintain a strong connection to their roots and pass on Ghanaian culture and traditions to future generations.
 
 
He concluded by encouraging attendees to think about the kind of future they wish to create for the next generation, emphasizing the importance of honoring tradition while making unique contributions to the world.
 
 
David Eduaful, the first Ghanaian managing director of Labadi Beach Hotel, has been named “Marketing Man of the Year 2023” by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG).
 
He received the award for his outstanding leadership, strategic insights, and customer-centric initiatives, which led to a significant increase in brand awareness and a profit of GHC53m in 2023.
 
This achievement is a reflection  of his exceptional marketing skills and dedication to excellence.
 
Eduaful’s leadership has positioned Labadi Beach Hotel as a premier destination in Ghana’s hospitality industry. His award is a well-deserved recognition of his hard work and innovative approach to marketing.
 
 
The Saudi Ministry of Tourism has launched the “Our Guests Are Our Priority” campaign to ensure hospitality facilities meet licensing and classification standards, enhancing service quality for domestic and international tourists.
 
The campaign’s first phase focuses on media and awareness activities, engaging stakeholders to achieve Saudi Vision 2030.
 
Additionally, the Vice Minister of Tourism has launched an initiative to improve education and training standards in the tourism sector, aligning programs with labor market needs and seeking international accreditations.
