The prestigious award was presented during a ceremony at Labadi Beach Hotel, celebrating Mensah’s exceptional contributions to the hospitality industry.
 
The citation accompanying his award praised him as an “achiever” with “exceptional qualities as a hotelier.” Under Mensah’s leadership,
 
Eusbett Hotel has undergone a remarkable transformation, expanding from a 16-room facility to a 200-room, 4-star establishment.
 
His ability to elevate the hotel’s standards amid industry challenges was highlighted as one of his key accomplishments.
 
The elevation of Eusbett Hotel to a 4-star status marks it as the only indigenous, Ghanaian-owned and managed hotel to achieve this distinction.
 
Robert Mensah’s innovative leadership and strategic marketing acumen were central to this success. His use of Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning strategies enhanced guest satisfaction in the competitive hospitality space.
 
Additionally, Mensah’s strong commitment to corporate social responsibility has made a lasting impact, contributing to the hotel’s reputation as a “facility of choice.”
 
The evaluators at CIMG unanimously endorsed his recognition, commending his leadership and dedication to transforming Eusbett Hotel into a premier destination for first-rate hospitality and conferencing services.

This journey, set to begin in mid-September 2024, follows Wanderlust Ghana’s successful Accra-to-London road trip in 2023.
 
Participants can join the adventure at key stops, including a five-night stay in Dubai (October 6–12, 2024) featuring Desert Dune Bashing, and a six-night trip in South Africa (November 7–14, 2024), which includes iconic landmarks like Soweto and Table Mountain. Other options include meeting the team in Benin or joining a driving tour from Johannesburg to Cape Town.
 
The G10 group aims to support Wanderlust Ghana’s mission to promote tourism and attract international visitors to Ghana. This partnership seeks to inspire more Ghanaians to embrace travel and cultural exchange.

Marriott International has signed a multi-deal agreement with PT Pakuwon Jati to develop five new hotels in Indonesia, adding over 1,300 rooms to the country’s hospitality sector.
 
The hotels are set to open between December 2029 and December 2030 in key locations such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Batam.
 
The Jakarta Marriott Hotel Kota Kasablanka will feature 320 guest rooms and suites, along with amenities like a fitness center and outdoor pool.
 
Aloft Surabaya, Pakuwon Indah, opening at the same time, will offer 243 rooms, 23 suites, a 600m² ballroom, and meeting spaces.
 
This collaboration strengthens Marriott’s presence in Indonesia.
