On September 7, 2024, Cape Coast hosted the Fetu Afahyɛ Festival, celebrating its 60th anniversary since its restoration after colonial suppression.
 
The festival, a vital cultural event for the Fante people, was highlighted by H.E. Harriet Thompson, who praised its role in symbolizing unity and resilience.
 
She also emphasized the strong, modern partnership between Ghana and the UK, which supports democracy and cooperative efforts on global issues.
 
Thompson expressed gratitude for participating in such a historic festival, underscoring its significance in preserving cultural heritage and fostering community connections.

 
The 115th birthday celebration of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, known as ‘Journey to Nkroful 24’ or Nkrumahfest, has been launched in Accra.
 
The event serves as a call to Ghanaians to honor Dr. Nkrumah’s ideals and contributions to the nation’s independence and history. Mr. Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, MP for Ellembele, emphasized that Nkrumah’s legacy goes beyond just a date and represents a significant historical impact.
 
The ‘Journey to Nkroful’ tradition began with Robert Techi Manson, who organized Ghana’s first walkathon from Accra to Nkroful, where 400 dedicated young Ghanaians marched in uniform, reciting their codes of ethics and singing the national anthem.
 
The 2024 edition of the Miss Malaika beauty pageant premiered on Sunday, September 1, 2024. Out of the hundreds of brilliant females who applied, thirty delegates have been shortlisted for the transformational stage.
 
The first episode, aired on Joy Prime, showcased the contestants’ incredible prowess across various aspects of their lives. All three judges—Naa-Oyoe, Hamamat, and Sharon—were impressed with the ladies’ performances.
 
Naa-Oyoe expressed her high expectations and was thoroughly impressed, noting that Miss Malaika Ghana consistently attracts remarkable participants, and this year was no exception.
