Ghana Diaspora Property Festival to be held in December

The “Ghana-Diaspora Property Festival is a groundbreaking event that brings together members of the diaspora community and real estate developers to explore investment opportunities in Ghana.

The event is being organised with the aim of attracting the top real estate developers both locally and internationally to have a stand at the festival and to showcase their properties to the world while creating a one-stop shop for everything property from building materials, sanitary ware, interior decor, furniture and properties.

The maiden edition is set to be held in the vibrant city of Accra this December 2023.The event will host both foreign and local exhibitors, real estate developers, suppliers, construction firms, banks and insurance companies among others.

By bringing together all these exhibitors and professionals from varying backgrounds within the business environment, part of the festival’s primary objective is to facilitate business partnerships and create opportunities for investment.

There will be a colourful display of food, culture, and musical performance. The event is expected to attract thousands of people from the diaspora community and locally.

Nigerian Real Estate Developer honoured in Ghana

Alhaji Sanusi Teslim Abuodun, Chairman and CEO of Jeje-Ola Properties Nigeria Limited, has been honoured with a chartered doctorate in real estate management by the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP) Ghana.

This recognition is a result of his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

Koku-Bonsu, the Vice President and Chairman of the Governing Council at CIPRMP Ghana, expressed the institute’s pride in Alhaji Abiodun’s exceptional administrative skills and leadership integrity.

He emphasised that this award came at a time when many public leaders and professionals had lost their ethical standing, highlighting Alhaji Abiodun’s noteworthy accomplishments in the construction sector’s development and his commendable efforts to empower youths and underprivileged individuals from various ethnic backgrounds.

In addition to the chartered doctorate, Alhaji Abiodun also received the Exemplary Corporate Leadership Excellence award for his role as a world-class construction professional, a leading management expert, an exceptional entrepreneur, a distinguished administrative trailblazer, an iconic nation builder, and a skilled management technocrat.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, in Nigeria EFCC, has called on Real Estate Agents to join hands with the Commission in the fight against corruption and avoid being used as a conduit for money laundering.

The Commander of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Commission, Michael Nzekwe made the call when he received executive members of the Kwara Chapter of Estate Rent and Commission Agent Association of Nigeria, ERCAAN, led by its Chairman
The Commander said his Command was determined to fight financial crime through enforcement of all regulations with a view to curtailing sharp practices and money laundering, especially in the real estate sector.

In turn, the report forecasts the average price in Calgary at the end of 2023 will rise 4.5 per cent year over year reaching about $564,000. That’s despite it predicting sales could drop 20 per cent.
