Discover the beautiful, serene spots in London to visit this Summer
London is known for being a bustling, busy city, but when you just need to get yourself a quiet moment, where can you go?

In this week’s newsletter, I share some tranquil oases tucked away amidst London’s vibrant streets. Get ready to explore enchanting spaces that offer solace from the hustle and bustle.

Chelsea Physic Garden, SW3 4HS One of London’s oldest & most respected gardens with a unique living collection. Established in 1673 and home to around 5,000 different edible, useful and medicinal plants, this is a beautiful, unique place to visit.

After you have walked through the historic botanical gardens, with its healing and restorative properties, you can stop off at the Tangerine Cafe for lunch or Afternoon Tea.

Entrance fee – £14.50 adults, free children, £40 Family Ticket (Two adults & three children). Open Sunday – Friday, 11am – 5pm.  Southbank Centre’s National Poetry Library, SE1 8XX The National Poetry Library is a free public collection housed at Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre. Situated on the fifth floor of the Royal Festival Hall, overlooking the river Thames, the library aims to hold all contemporary UK poetry publications since 1912. Of the 200,000+ items in the collection, you can enjoy books, magazines, audio recordings and children’s books.

Amidst the towering landmarks and iconic structures, this library offers a peaceful respite for poetry lovers and property enthusiasts alike. Explore the vast collection of literary masterpieces while soaking in the breathtaking views of the Thames and the mesmerising London skyline.

It’s free to visit and open Tue-Sun 11am-8pm. Regent’s Canal Walk This is for the walkers amongst you! The 8.6-mile (13.8-kilometer) waterway walk is a former coal drop for the railways and runs from Little Venice in the west to the Limehouse Basin and the Thames in the east.

You can walk through Kings Cross, Maida Vale, Camden, Islington, Hackney, London Fields and make sure to stop at Little Venice, one of my favourite village-style neighbourhoods.

For a bite to eat during your walk, Cafe Laville is one of the most charming spots and it is right above the water at Little Venice/Maida Vale. Want to discover more quiet places to visit in London? Click here to view my recent video with all my top picks.
