Two projects are to be launched in the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions, as part of the
government’s revised affordable housing programme.
The government is putting great effort into addressing the nation’s housing deficit and providing
decent housing for those employed by the public sector, according to the Ministry of Works and
Housing.
The Ministry reports that in order to do this, the government is about to launch two major
projects in the Greater Accra and Ashanti Regions as part of the revamped affordable housing
strategy.
The sector minister, Mr. Asenso-Boakye reaffirmed government’s commitment to addressing the
housing problem facing the nation at a ceremony to commission some housing units in Accra.
He said that Pokuase and Densua would each have affordable housing units.
Mr Asenso Boakye was hopeful Ghanaians especially those in the public service, such as nurses,
teachers, police officers will find decent accommodation for themselves and their families
through the project.
