The park features modern amenities such as a snack shop, restaurant, event center, children’s playground, zoo, and skating park. It will be linked to the Asomdwoee Park, enhancing tourism within the Osu enclave.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by notable tourism sector officials, including former Tourism Minister Andrew Egyapa Mercer, GTA CEO Akwasi Agyeman, and Koku Anyidoho.

Speaking at the event, the former minister hailed the park as a significant achievement, while Mr. Agyeman emphasised GTA’s commitment to showcasing Ghana’s rich culture and history through tourism. John Mahama’s vision for Ghana’s aviation and tourism sectors focuses on positioning the country as a regional leader in West Africa. In aviation, he aims to enhance connectivity, promote trade, and foster regional integration by building on past successes. Plans include partnerships with international airlines to improve flight options and affordability, positioning Ghana as a hub for seamless travel.

For tourism, Mahama seeks to capitalize on initiatives like the successful Year of Return campaign by enhancing infrastructure, supporting local businesses, and expanding promotional efforts. He emphasizes sustainable development by preserving cultural sites, improving national parks, and investing in training for tourism professionals. His agenda prioritizes engaging local communities, balancing economic growth with environmental preservation, and ensuring high-quality hospitality services.

By addressing recent setbacks in both sectors, Mahama aims to create economic opportunities, strengthen national pride, and elevate Ghana’s global profile.

The Airport Authority of Hong Kong (AAHK) has completed a historic bond offering of HK$18.5 billion (US$2.4 billion), the largest ever in Hong Kong dollars.
The four-tranche bond, with maturities of three, five, ten, and thirty years, was priced at yields ranging from 4.05% to 4.50%.

Demand for the bonds exceeded HK$25.3 billion, driven by strong interest from Asian investors, including banks, asset managers, insurers, and private banks.
The proceeds will support key infrastructure projects amidst challenging economic conditions.
