Spartan Ives Limited, operators of the Polo Beach Club, continued to hold events despite an interim injunction issued by the High Court on December 19, 2024. The injunction restrains the club from using a 0.54-acre plot of land near Labadi Beach Hotel as a car park or pathway for events.

The club hosted events, including “Likor on the Beach” on December 22 and “Amapiano and Brunch” on December 24, featuring popular artists like KiDi, Black Sherif, and Sister Debbie. Guests of the Labadi Beach Hotel complained about loud music and fireworks disrupting their sleep, with some leaving the hotel angrily.

Despite the injunction’s enforcement over the festive season, the club has planned several events through January 2, 2025. Management declined to comment on the situation.
