Industry players in Ghana’s hospitality sector are stressing the importance of continuous investment in tourism destinations to maintain the benefits achieved through the Year of Return and Beyond the Return campaigns.

Yusuf Olela, the Group General Manager of Alisa Hotels, has highlighted the need for a special fund that would allow entrepreneurs to borrow at lower interest rates for infrastructural development.

According to Olela, such an initiative is crucial for making Ghana’s tourism destinations more attractive and competitive. The Year of Return and Beyond the Return campaigns have significantly boosted tourist arrivals in the country, contributing to the growth of the hospitality industry.

However, despite this growth, the sector continues to face challenges, including high utility costs, power fluctuations, and inflation.

Olela believes that addressing these issues through increased investment in tourism infrastructure and providing incentives for investors is essential for the continued success of the industry

Still staying on Alisa Hotel,it  has unveiled a new 1,000-seater pavilion, designed to meet the growing demand for larger conference facilities in Ghana.

The pavilion, equipped with advanced audio-visual technology, is part of the hotel’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its facilities and maintain its high standards in the hospitality industry. The modern conference facility can accommodate up to 1,000 guests and offers the flexibility to be partitioned into smaller units for multiple events.

In addition to the pavilion, Alisa Hotel also introduced an oasis lounge featuring executive boardrooms, dining areas, and outdoor spaces, all aimed at enhancing the experience of conference attendees.

The launch of this facility reflects the hotel’s commitment to responding to the needs of its customers and staying competitive in the growing hospitality market
