July 18, 2024, would have marked Jeffrey Wegbe’s 30th birthday, but instead of celebrating, his family is still seeking justice for his untimely death.

Four years ago, on August 12, 2020, Jeffrey was fatally shot in front of his home at 14 Hansel Road, London NW6 5DQ.

The events of that fateful night are still etched in the memories of his loved ones.

Jeffrey had received a call around 11:45 pm and stepped out to meet the caller, believed to be someone he knew.

Within 15 minutes, gunshots rang out, and Jeffrey managed to make his way back into the house, but the attackers shot through the glass door, fatally wounding him.

The police investigation revealed that the killers used a stolen grey Jaguar XF estate, which was seen in the area around the time of the shooting. Despite efforts to trace the vehicle and its occupants, the perpetrators remain at large.

Detective Inspector James Howarth, leading the investigation, has reiterated the urgency of the case and appealed to anyone with information to come forward. The family, too, is pleading for anyone with knowledge to help bring the killers to justice.

As the fourth anniversary of Jeffrey’s passing approaches, his family and friends are still seeking answers and justice. They have expressed their gratitude to Abbey Funeral Services and all those who have supported them during this difficult time.

If you have any information about the shooting or the grey Jaguar XF estate, please contact the Met Office on 020 8358 0300 or 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. You can also email mailto:info@justice4jeffrey.co.uk.
