Rev. Nick Quarshie of the Victory Bible Church International, Refuge Worship Santuary in Finsbury Park, London, has encouraged Christians to live with integrity and abide by God’s moral principles.
In a sermon, he explained that behavior and attitude affects others, influencing whether people choose to stay or leave, especially within the community of believers.
“Your behavior or attitude is important in life; it may cause people to either leave or stay in the community, particularly in the house of God.”
Rev. Quarshie further stressed the importance of abiding by God’s moral laws,, urging Christians to pursue peace with one another and avoid sinful desires such as coveteouness, lies, envy amongst others.
He emphasised the transformative power of God’s teachings, affirming, “The Church embodies truth, and we should let God’s word change us from within.”
Furthermore, he encouraged believers to maintain a positive outlook and speak well of their faith community.
“Positive things always encourage people. People always want to be where positive things are said; place value in the house of God.”, he urged
Drawing inspiration from biblical figures like Nehemiah, Rev. Quarshie highlighted the joy found in serving God wholeheartedly. “Let God’s love motivate you to serve others sacrificially.”
He also reminded the congregation to appreciate the blessings and opportunities provided by their church community, urging them not to underestimate their roles.
“Let’s not despise God’s work but embrace it, being helpers to one another, as this greatly impacts His kingdom.”
In warning against mocking the things of God, Rev. Quarshie stressed God’s faithfulness, even in challenging times. “God’s power knows no bounds, so let’s not doubt Him or mock His plans.”
Rev. Quarshie also spoke about the profound impact of serving God, encouraging believers to engage in His work wholeheartedly.
