Mr. Henry Quartey, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, has urged chiefs in the region to resolve land and chieftaincy issues through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) rather than going to court.
He believes that settling such matters at home will promote peace and unity within the Ga State, fostering progress and development.
The call was made during the coronation of Nii Kwame Ladzelor I as the Noyaa Mantse (Development Chief) of Dome.
The event, attended by dignitaries including Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, emphasized the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence among the Ga people.
Mr. Justice Amoh, the CEO of Justmoh Constructions Limited, a prominent figure in the construction industry for over three decades, received the Overall Best Construction Company of the Year 2022/2023 award at the Construction Industry Excellence Awards in Accra.
Justmoh Constructions, a wholly Ghanaian-owned company, has a robust track record of successfully undertaking large-scale projects nationwide.
Mr. Amoh expressed special appreciation for the award, emphasizing the significance of being recognized for the company’s core business – construction.
He thanked his dedicated team for their tireless efforts and reiterated the commitment to upholding the high values of the construction industry.
A proposed law to regulate cement production in Ghana has been presented to Parliament, aiming to enhance the industry’s standards and safety.
The Director-General of the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), Prof. Alex Dodoo, emphasized the importance of promoting efficient and safe cement production, with the legislation expected to take effect this year.
The GSA is engaging with the cement industry to improve materials and standards, ensuring investments contribute positively without compromising safety.

Real estate lost its attractiveness and was not the leading asset class in 2023, according to the Vietnam Association of Realtors.
Between May 2022 and the end of 2023 the property market saw thousands of projects being suspended and many businesses shutting down with 80% of brokers quitting their jobs.
The most severely affected segment was resort real estate, whose supply fell by more than 80% and which saw only 700 transactions.
Besides the declining supply of beach villas, shophouses and condotels, some developers also failed to fulfill their profit-sharing commitments causing investor confidence to plunge.
