The CEO of E Wells Realty and Consultancy Ms Hanna Atiase has s expressed
worry about the low percentage of women in the real estate.
Speaking at the maiden women in Real Estate Conference in Accra, she stressed
the need to empower young wowen to venture into the sector .
According to her the real estate market is well dominated by men and there is the
need for female role models that young women aspiring to venture into the field can
look up to .
Ms Atiase also spoke about the African Women in Real Estate mentorship programs
that would provide hands on experience and to help young women to chart a
career path in the sector and also empower them.
She paid glowing tribute to Madam Theresa Oppong Beeko who paved the way for
women in real estate entrepreneurship.
Ms Atiase said there was the need for women to also feel more comfortable in the
sector,explore the numerous career opportunities in real estate value chsin
particularly in the area of interior decoration.
The conference was aimed at empowering women to overcome challenges in the
sector, network and share ideas.
Spekers at the event were drawn from Ghana, Morrocco and Kenya.
